This month we went to Old Mans cave and did lots of stuff for Halloween.When we went to old mans cave we stayed at a camp ground nearby. We took a wrong turn when we were going to a place to hike. The was a lot to see there plus there were cliffs up to two hundred feet high. It was beautiful looking off the big cliffs and we were there when the leaves were changing colors in the fall. You could kill yourself if you fall off the cliff.At the campground they would show a movie and we watched Angles in The Outfield. We were lucky to even get a campsite because the campground was almost full. We got a nice campsite there even though we had few to choose from. There was a lake about a quarter mile away from our campsite that we went to and we climbed up the trees nearby. Our camper is small but it is big enough. I had fun there while we were on vacation. The morning that we left we stopped and ate breakfast at a lodge. We got pancakes and they we huge and about seven inches long. I was full by the time I was done eating them.
On Sunday we went Trick or Treating in Hollansburg. It was from six till seven-thirty P.M.The fire bell ringed when it started and ended. Hollansburg is one of the few towns in Darke County that does trick or treating in the dark. I like to go trick or trating in the dark. It is fun. We saw some friends and we got a quite of lot of candy. I ate all of my candy pretty quick. The candy was very good and tasty.
The weekend before Halloween the Boy Scouts set up a haunted barn for the cub scouts to go through at the Halloween party and scare them. I was in a cage in a monster suit and one of my friends. In the haunted barn was a man hanging down from the ceiling, next was a guy under a bridge that would pop out and scare you, then were some people doing a frankinstien scene. There was also another guy that would scare you. Next was a Butcher that would cut up liver and let you have a sample. There was a dinner table were people were eating an then a monster comes up out of the table and scares the people at the table. Last was a lady that was getting cut up and guts were coming out of her. I scared some kids a lot and I ha a lot of fun doing it. The next night we had put everything away that everyone had used for the haunted barn.When we got there they had most of the stuff put away. We just had to put some tarps away and fold them up.
