January, 2003

To start the month and new year off we had a New Years Eve party at our church. It was more a dartball party than a new years party but oh well. All of the dartball players and church members were there throwing darts and playing games for fun. Us kids brought an X box and we sat there and played Halo almost all night. We also had lots of pizza and chips and stuff to eat. We had a lot of fun. We got out the TV and all sat around it and waited for the ball drop. Finally it was 2003 and in about 5 minutes after the ball drop almost everyone had left and went home to bed. I wanted to stay and play longer but we had to leave so we did.

Well Christmas break is over so we have to go back to school. We also got our report cards from last semester. I got a B+ in Algebra 1 for my average which was only about one point away from an A but oh well. I got an A in Science and Literature also. Mark got straight A's. His classes were also Algebra 1, English, Health, PE, Band and him being a techie aid. I was in his Algebra class and that made me feel smart. Jenny got A's and B's and one C (in science). Now I am taking Social Studies English and Word Processing. I hate word processing because we have to sit there in front of the computer for an hour and a half and type stuff out of a book. My hands are hurting by the end of that class but it is almost over so I wont be in there much longer.

Mom and Dad took a little getaway trip to a bed & breakfast while us kids stayed at the house. The night they were gone Jenny and I went to a lock in at Castine Church of the Brethren. They have an indoor gym so we stayed up all night and played basketball with some of the people we met there. My best friend Kevin also came with me. While we were there I got a basketball right in my face and it hit me in the mouth and my braces against my lips made them get all cut up and started bleeding a lot. I had to hold a napkin in my mouth for about a half hour before it stopped. While Jenny and I were there Mark went to the high school basketball boys at the Homecoming game. After that he stayed the night at our grandma's house while Jenny and I stayed up all night at Castine. When we got home the next morning I slept for about seven hours.

Mark and Allen have been into ham radio and they seem to like it a lot but it doesn't really interest me. That is there new hobby now and Dad got his license so now he is on it talking to Mark. They seem to have a lot of fun with it though. Well thats all for this month.
