I am doing the newsletter of December. Lots of things happened in December like we
butchered some hogs, we had Christmas, and we went to Bear Creek farms for a show. But
first I am going to talk about when we butchered the pigs.
It was at night when we went. A friend from church had us come over and
help. I wanted to go, but mom didn't. We all went anyway. Well we got there and dad had to
shot them. the one didn't go down very easy. I felt sorry for it and wanted to go home. So
mom took me home and we watched the Wizard Of Oz. That made me feel better. The next day
we went back and I was going to chop and grind the meat, but instead I helped the adults
and my brothers gut the pig. I didn't mind it that day probably because my best friend
Leslie Branson was there with me. I had fun. My dad said that I had experience that most
kids don't get. Next I am going to talk about Bear Creek Farms.
It was great. We went to Bear Creek Farms with my Uncle Scott and Aunt
Barbara. It was about an hour away. When we got there I thought the show was going
to be boring, but it really was good!!!! So did everyone else. After that we got a snack
at the restaurant there. It was pretty good. Then we went to the General Store there. They
had some neat things there. Of course Nick and I got some candy. I had a great time there.
So did the rest of the family. Then came Christmas.
It was a great Christmas. First we had Christmas at our house, then
went to our grandma and grandpa's house with the rest of the family (Aunt Dixie and Uncle
Terry, and Natalie and Chris), and then we went to my Aunt Joyce's house. I had a great
time. I got clothes, candy, money, model, scrapbook, Scooby-Doo stuff, game boy stuff like
a charger for the batteries, a game Treasure Planet, a case for it all, some extra
batteries for it. I also got some jewelry, lava lamp, perfume, a walkie talkie that
reaches 2 miles, fuzzy pictures that you color, and a teddy bear that says Bible Verses
when you push different parts of him. Nick got clothes, candy, money, race car track, mini
rockets, walkie talkie, mini remote-control car, a game boy game, a model air plane, a
game boy case, and some glow putty. Mark got a gooey-stretchy man, clothes, money, candy,
mini remote-control car, walkie talkie, game boy game and case, a lava lamp, and Inter-nut
prank pills. Mom and dad got some interesting stuff too. Mom got a stocking holder from
me, and another house for her village, and I got dad another truck for his collection. I
had a great Christmas and I hope the people that are reading this did too.
That is pretty much everything that happened in December. It was also a
great year because it is 2003 know. Have a great year everybody!!
