For a few days this month I got to go on my 8th grade class trip to Chicago. I left from the school at 6 am., the morning if the 10th , on a charter bus with all of my classmates. It was going to be a six hour drive but we got stuck in a traffic jam outside of Chicago which made us about an hour behind schedule. We got there at about noon Chicago time and went to the Museum of Science and Industry. We looked around and after awhile we went to an IMAX theater, which was a dome shape, and sat back and watched the movie above us. We watched a video on some people climbing Mount Everest. After the Museum we went to check into the hotel but there seemed to be a little problem. Our room had one bed and there were four people. We just figured two of us would sleep on the floor one night and the others would sleep on the floor the next night. I really didn't like this at all so I went to ask Mr. Moore, the head person of the trip, if we could get a different room by any chance. He said we had a chaperons room by mistake and they had ours. We switched rooms and that made me in a much better mood. Soon after that was solved, we got back on the bus and went to Navy Pier to watch another IMAX movie but this one was in 3-D. It was really cool because everything looked like it was right in your face and you could reach out and touch it, but if you took the glasses off it was a big blur. There were fish swimming and it really looked like you could reach out and touch one of them. Then we went on an exciting trip up and elevator about 95 stories high to the top of the Hancock building. The view was very cool from that high up and I took a lot of pictures. I also used this telescope thing and looked all around Chicago with it. Then we ate dinner at Hard Rock Cafe. The next place we went to see the Blueman Group, which I thought was the best part of the trip. They are very funny and doing stupid things during the show. Then we went to ESPN Zone for dessert and to play arcade games. After midnight we went back to the hotel and went to bed.

The new morning started with breakfast at North Pier and than a long walk the the Navy Pier. We went through a mirror maze and a 3-D ride which were very cool. Then the bus driver dropped us off at the fields Museum which is more of a historic museum. Then we walked over to the Oceanarium to watch a dolphin show and see many fish tanks. For super we ate at Rainforest Cafe then we went to a Bulls game. They played the New Jersey Nets and won. Then we went and ate Chicago style pizza after for dessert.

The final day in Chicago started with breakfast at North Pier again then we went shopping on Michigan Avenue, which I didn't buy anything, and then went to North Pier again for Chicago style pizza for lunch. We left for home on yet another six hour trip and got back to the school at about 8 PM. Saturday night which was the 12th. I had a great time in Chicago and wish I could have stayed longer.

When I got back home Jenny had bought six more chickens to add to our collection. They were little then but are pretty big now.

Mark went with my Grandpa to Detroit to help him with one of his shows and I may get to go with him in August to Pennsylvania. I think Mark had a lot of fun.

Mom's birthday was the 30th and we and went to my aunt Dixie's house to celebrate it. I like going there because we can just sit there and watch the TV for hours at a time.
