Sell, sell, sell!  It was fundrasing time!  First, for our Boy Scout troop, we started selling subs and soft pretzels.   We sold to famliy and to our school teachers for that one.  The money from those sales goes to pay for troop trips and all the badges and stuff they buy.  Then, for our church, we sold pizzas, subs, and soft pretzels.   We sold those to the church congregation and to residents in Hollansburg.   That money goes to pay for a weeklong church-camp-type trip in Fort Collins, Colorado.  We also made them this month and got them delivered.

Trip time!  Mom and Dad took a trip on Friday the 22nd.  They went to stay at a bed and breakfast place in northern Indiana.   They looked around in Amish country and stuff.   They  got back Saturday night.  I think they had fun.

What did we do?  We went to stay at our Grandma and Grandpa's house.   We took our Nintendo 64 and my Dad's laptop computer.  We pretty much played games like Mario Kart 64 and Mario Party the whole time we were there.  It was a lot of fun.  Nick and Jenny kept on getting mad, though.  One of them would start getting all ticked off when they were losing.  They'd both get ticked off when I played.  I always won. :)   We did have fun, though.

Over the hill!  On the 23rd, Dad had his 40th birthday!  He wasn't really thrilled about being 40.  He said he did not want anything special just because it was his 40th.  We said he was a party-pooper.   We did have a fun time, though.  We still celebrated and visited relatives and had all the goodies.  He is just not happy that he is 40 already.  He cannot believe it.

A hobby or an obsession?  This month marks the 1st anniversary that Dad has had his truck.  One year ago him and Nick made the trip to Nebraska to get it.  Now, one year later, Dad's thing for trucks has only gotten worse.  He has made progress.  He has gotten the engine running and the gas tank fixed.  He just now needs to get the brakes fixed and we could maybe go somewhere.   Like I said, though, the hobby's grown.  Dad has bought so many model trucks he'll be keeping busy for a few months still.  He has finished a few, but he still has some more to do.
