Mark was always wanting to upgrade our computer or get a new one. He finally went and bought his own. It is a refurbished IBM but it is twice as good as our old computer. He bought a gamepad to go with it so it would make the games more fun.

The 14th was Marks birthday. He was going to turn 14 years old . He mostly got clothes but he got a 20 dollar shopping spree at staples and a hiking pack for boy scout hikes and campouts. The boy scout troop will be going on a trip to the USS Yorktown which is an aircraft carrier. The only thing is that the cost to go is $320. Mark and me are not going to go but we might go on the trip the next time they are going to go there.

One rainy Saturday night we went to pick up some pizza and when we got back we all sat down to get ready to eat and watch a movie called Disney's the Kid that Mark got for his birthday from aunt Joyce and uncle Keith but just a second before we hit the play button lightning struck the TV antenna, it fried the VCR and it zapped the Nintendo 64 but we didn't know about the Nintendo  until about a week later. So we have been living without a VCR for about two months.

For 3 days or so we haven't seen Arby around at all. Then finally someone called us that lived 1 mile away said that they found Arby. They had some bad news. They found him on their road laying in the ditch so they took him home in the back of their truck. They said that it looked like someone had shot him in the right front leg and the bone was shattered. They cleaned the wound out and mom picked him up and took him home. The next day my mom took him to the vet and asked what they could do for him and they said he would have to cut off his leg. They did so and he didn't act like it hurt anymore since it was gone. While all of this took place Jenny and I we at Kids Kamp at Senaca Lake for five days. We came back and we were very sad.

Dad has always been encouraging Mark to get a moped and one day that is exactly what they did. They brought home a red old moped. It was a bargain though, he bought it for only $200. He has already rode over 100 miles on it himself.

On the Twenty Seventh school started. Jenny was going into 5th grade, I was going into 7th grade and Mark was going into 8th grade.
